Sorry, it was my fault.

It seems that XeTeX (well, actually xdvipdfmx) cannot handle the font properly and the error report is wrong.

It is not a bug. I apologize for the too fast reporting.

Pablo

Please contact Jonathan Kew, the author of XeTeX!

Your information is far too limited to be useful
for nything. Perhaps Jonathan can help out with more
details.

Using XeTeX with the Army font (http://www.dafont.com/army.font), I get the following error:

<Army(Army:Regular)@34.27pt [197] [198]<NATIVE-FONTMAP:Army/H>
fontmap: Army/H -> /usr/share/fonts/drakfont/ttf/Army.ttf(Identity-H)

pdf_font>> Input encoding "Identity-H" requires at least 2 bytes.
pdf_font>> The -m <00> option will be assumed for "/usr/share/fonts/drakfont/ttf/Army.ttf".

    • ERROR ** sfnt: Freetype failure...

Output file removed.

I don't know what it is, but it seems to be a bug in FreeType.

Thanks for your help,

Pablo
