@spiralvoice:

If you are positive that there is no HighID concept in gnutella, G2 and fasttrack, then the bug is to be filed to kmldonkey (which I don't use anymore). If not, then the bug still belongs to the mldonkey project.

By the way, I can't close the bug on my own, can I?

Do you still see the bug?

edonkey servers = EDK servers, because EDK = edonkey

porttest only tests Edonkey and Bittorrent ports.

Why do you think you have a lowid on Gnutella/G2/Fasttrack?
I do not remember those networks having the concept of
high/low id at all. The id stuff is done by EDK servers only.

Thanks for the tip, orbit!
portinfo mentions a port at donkeyTCP+4 as UDP, and a kademlia port at donkeyTCP-108, which I've opened and forwarded, situation is the same: HighID on edonkey and connected but LowID on gnutella, G2 (and fasttrack).

@spiralvoice: I posted for gnutella/G2 because the bug concerns all plugins, but edonkey's.

I am connected to edonkey servers permanently, is it the same thing as EDK servers? Anyway the external IP gets recognized ok, and porttest succeeds, but it just mentions "Donkey" ports.

@Florent:

Why did you report this bug for the Gnutella/G2 plugin?
MLdonkey needs to connect to an EDK server in order to
correctly determine its WAN IP.

take a look at the wiki
http://mldonkey.sourceforge.net/WhatFirewallPortsToOpen#Incoming_connections

you have to forward (ED2K_port + 4) UDP

use the portinfo command to list all ports
and use porttest to test them

I think I've said it all. My mldonkey runs as daemon with the /etc/init.d/mldonkey script coming with gentoo. I use the following ports:

6600 edonkey
6630 fasttrack
6640 G2
6650 gnutella
6660 gnutella UDP

All are forwarded whith both TCP and UDP.

Is it possible that those mods lack router's IP claiming? In other words do they benefit the autodetection of the router's IP with force_ip_client=false?
