This cannot be fixed because of limitations in the POP3 protocol. If you need to keep your read mails on the server, I suggest that you migrate to IMAP.

Application: Mail Notification
Version: 4.0-rc2

All of my POP3 accounts appear to have new mail. What I mean by this is that when I mouse over the Mail Notification icon in the system tray, It always displays a certain amount of unread mail for a POP3 account even though I have already received it and have marked it as read. Do note however, that I have not set up POP3 through a mail-client application, but rather read all of my email online on the web via an application such as SquirrelMail for example.

Steps To Reproduce:

1. Add a POP3 mail account to Mail Notification
2. Check for updates though Mail Notification
3. Read email through SquirrelMail or other web based mail client
4. Check for updates through Mail Notification once again
5. Notice that the email still appears as unread when you mouse over the tray icon with no means to mark it as read

Possible Solutions:

- Fix this so that read mail doesn't appear unread with Mail Notification
- Add a menu option for when you right click the tray icon that reads "Mark all as read/seen"
