I stand by my report.

Linux/Unix users expect

man <command>

or

<command> --help

to give information on the options of a program.

The Debian project considers the lack of a man page to be a bug.

A reference manual is available ("System -> Help -> Internet -> Mail Notification Manual" in GNOME).

mail-notification has no man page. In particular I had to guess the
command mail-notification -p to get the config applet.

Just running mail-notification gives the message "mail-notification already running". mail-notification --help is unhelpful!
