Feedback timeout. If this problem is still present, please report it in the new bug tracker (https://bugs.launchpad.net/mail-notification/).

Sorry for the wrong bug report, I installed mail-notification from the package manager in ubuntu, and assumed that would be the newest version, but apparently that one is still 3.0

I tried compiling it myself now, but I am not good at this sort of stuff.
./configure complained about missing gnome libraries

> checking for GNOME... no
> configure: error: unable to find the GNOME libraries

althought I am pretty sure that I have them.

Are you sure that "Mozilla products" support was compiled in? You can check with "mail-notification -v".

I use mail notification to monitor a Thunderbird inbox.
location file:///home/blah/.mozilla-thunderbird/p4ht6k1d.default/Mail/blah/Inbox

The mailbox is recognized as mbox-format, not Mozilla format.
The pop up displays mail regardless of the read/unread status in Thunderbird, and even thought "display seen mail" is checked, all old mails are displayed again after each shutdown/startup.

This means that after each reboot, a popup with all old mail subjects (a few 100) is shown. After that, only new mail gets displayed, but it will be shown even if I immediately mark it as read in Thunderbird.

System is ubuntu edgy on intel 64 bit with kubuntu-desktop installed
