This bug is present in release 0.7.3.
Steps to reproduce this bug
---------------------------
Carry out a Blocks or Koch exercise. Make sure you copy the symbols correctly onto paper or into a file before entering them at Aldo's prompt. Enter everything correctly, except for the last symbol group, for which type just the first symbol and then press Enter.
Example:
Please input the signs you copied.
If you didn't copy a sign, put '@'.
1: eii
2: iei
3: iii
4: eie
5: i
[...]
1:... 2:... 3:... 4:... 5:.!!
eii iei iii eie iei
eii iei iii eie i@@
Expected result
---------------
The "Success rate per symbol" statistics shows the correct number and percentage of success even for the symbols that were omitted from the last symbol group.
Example (same as above):
Success rate per symbol:
percentage%-'symbol'-(copied correctly/keyed)
80%-'e'-(4/5)
90%-'i'-(9/10)
Obtained result
---------------
Symbols that were omitted in the last group also lose the count of all correctly copied occurrences.
Example (same as above):
Success rate per symbol:
percentage%-'symbol'-(copied correctly/keyed)
0%-'e'-(0/5)
0%-'i'-(0/10)
Discussion
----------
It's true that the instructions ask for '@' to be input for symbols that were missed (instead of omitting them if they are at the end of the group), but I don't think the user should be penalized for not complying. :-)
