The "does not work correctly" part should be gone, since we don't link any boost libraries now.

Options for libraries are now found through pkg-config, and it looks like there are botan_LIBS and botan_CFLAGS options available if that doesn't work.

I have botan in /usr/pkg and configure can't find it. I worked around it by adding CPPFLAGS="-I/usr/pkg/include" LDFLAGS="-L/usr/pkg/lib" to configure, as suggested by the INSTALL text, but this is not really user friendly and also does not work correctly - I have to pass LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/pkg/lib to mtn otherwise it won't find boost shared libs.
