When adding a new course to the Platform, the user experience is confusing: at first it seems not to be saved.
In an honest attempt to give feedback on this interesting system, I describe here the steps I followed:
1. I go to Course, select a Category and click on "Add New Course"
2. the Add Course form opens, I add title and description
3. after saving it, it opens the main course overview, without any content
4. I choose to add a lesson and it opens in the add lesson form
5. I add title and body and click on add content below the form. A save button is not there, so either this button is supposed to do the saving job, or the save button is missing.
6. now I get the same add content form as before, but empty. User experience: I AM CONFUSED. My created content seems not be added: I can not see it in the left wing tree of content, nor does the interface give me any sign that the system did save my stuff.
7. I decide to add another piece of content and hit "save content"
8. now I get a link with my earlier added content and "click here to continue" hmm, what does that mean?
9. I click on the earlier first created content (step 5) and it opens my piece of content, but strange enough it has the general template of the whole site, applied to this inner box (right inferior side), sort of a window in a window.
10. in the left hand side the content tree of my course is still empty, so I have no clue where my newly created lessons went to or how I can organize them.
11. when i go to the main Course menu again and go to the category I see the course I had just created and see the lessons and content in it! So it was there, waiting for me.
Conclusion: there are some miscodings in the interface representation that makes the user experience a bit confusing.
