Yeah it works,

There is one remaining issue with 34xx series i'll try to work on as soon as possible. Default configuration parameters are also backuped, the default configuration settings are available after 4 or 5 blank lines and a line beginning with "Default settings"

Cheers.

Julien,

Thanks!

May you please confirm the 0.8 tarball works for you?

I'm already using it, to backup about 10 Dell switch, it already works well on Dell PowerConnect 5324 and 3324 but there is some issues on 34xx series, i'll try to work on it as soon as possible.

The main issue is that on 34xx the backup done can not be reused to restore the switch configuration. One another issue is the first character in the backup done is a "^M" character. I think it's not really important but having proper backup file is better.

Thanks, Julien.

I have applied your Dell.pm patch to the CVS source tree.

However, I am unable to test it since I don't
have access to Dell PowerConnect switches.

You may either test it and just notify me when you
think it is ready for a release, or provide me with
access to a Dell switch so I could verify the
Dell.pm module.

Please let me know what you think.

Cheers,
Everton

Hi,

Here is a patch which add support for Dell PowerConnect switchs series.

It is still a little buggy on some switchs but it works. I'm planning to fix remaining bugs and do some code cleanup. It would be nice if fetchconfig could support Dell switchs.

Thanks.
