It sounds like this has either been fixed somehow, or is a problem with one very specific compiler version that nobody's using any more.

Well, as original reporter, I must say that I forgot about that specific compiler version long time ago (and switched to git, but that's different issue).

That bisection has the segfault added with the introduction of hybrid_map.hh, which hasn't changed since then.

MinGW uses 3.4.5 which works fine with recent monotones, and gcc 4.4 also works (and the microsoft compiler).

Does anyone still use a compiler that does this with current monotones?

Monotone compiled with CXXFLAGS='-O2 -g -ggdb':
$ mtn st
mtn: fatal signal: Segmentation fault
this is almost certainly a bug in monotone.
please send this error message, the output of 'mtn --full-version',
and a description of what you were doing to -unavailable-
do not send a core dump, but if you have one,
please preserve it in case we ask you for information from it.

Backtrace attached. Btw., s/--full-version/version --full/ in 0.36.

Monotone compiled with CXXFLAGS='-O2 -fno-inline -g -ggdb':
$mtn st
OK

Monotone 0.35 works ok.
