Hi again,
I have tracked the problem down. There were two related issues. I have it fixed in my working copy. You can either use my development sources available through Gnu Arch (http://bkchem.zirael.org/arch_en.html), wait for a new release (it will surely take me more than two weeks) or fix just your copy. In case you would be interested in the last thing, please send me an email, I will send you the fixed version of one file (or a patch if you prefer one).

Thanks again for your report.

Beda

Hi,
thanks for the bugreport. Could you please tell me more about your system?
I myself cannot fully reproduce this bug. I have already received a similar bugreport from a friend, but the message that he gets is slightly different. Do you run python version 2.5?
I do my work with python 2.4 (and it works perfectly there).
When I tried it in python 2.5 I got an error when I closed the Preferences dialog, but it was different from yours.

When I try to change the preferences to use a real minus character it raises an error:

What can I do?
