Could you please open a separate bug for that?

Ah, the address has not been written by the --writephonebook, sorry!

The bug is actually "unable to write postal address".

The following works:

echo "Abc;;ME;357;5" |gnokii --writephonebook -o
Write Succeeded: memory type: Internal memory, loc: 357, name: Abc, number:

Adding the address manually and reading also does:

gnokii --getphonebook ME 357 -r
Abc;;ME;357;5;9;0;0;Abc

The following doesn't:

echo "Abc;;ME;357;5;9;0;0;Abc" |gnokii --writephonebook -o
Write FAILED (Data format is not valid.): memory type: Internal memory, loc: 357, name: Abc, number:

I'm having difficulties reproducing the bug since gnokii --identify fails with the following messages:

GNOKII Version 0.6.19cvs
Couldn't open PHONET device: No such file or directory
Telephone interface init failed: Command failed.
Quitting.
Command failed.

Which is interesting, since the only "ENOENT" is at open("/var/lock/LCK..ttyACM0", O_RDONLY), which is good. The only "usb" is at open("/lib/libusb-0.1.so.4", O_RDONLY). It doesn't try to open any devices. Should I open another bug for that? This happens to me after using gnokii for some time.

I cannot reproduce on 6230i. It seems to work just fine. Well, almost. Phone supports multiple postal address fields, gnokii outputs just the last one.

Please reopen in case it really doesn't work but attach a debug log.

gnokii cvs 20070817

gnokii --getphonebook succeeds, but the data doesn't contain the postal address which is recorded in the phone memory.
