I've tested with 0.6.20, I'll try the latest cvs.

Is it really still the case? Did you test 0.6.25? I have committed some time ago fixed that enabled long frames transmission over DKU2 cables.

Yes, the command does work over bluetooth and doesn't over the USB cable.

Erm, somewhat. I've bought a USB stick, managed to --identify, but further commands failed with another error message, and --identify didn't work any more. I'll retry in the next weeks.

Cannot reproduce. What connection type do you use? I use 6230i over bluetooth.

Sat 18 Aug 2007 10:36:10 PM UTC, original submission:
gnokii cvs 20070817 on 6230
echo "zzzzzzz;1111111111111;ME;5;5;11;10;2;1111111111111;11;2;3;1111111111111" |gnokii --writephonebook
fails with the following error message:
Write FAILED (Command timed out.): memory type: Internal memory, loc: 5, name: zzzzzzz, number: 1111111111111
Writing the same slightly differently (e.g., with the name "zzzzzz") succeeds.
