As far as I can tell this is no longer an issue in the beta versions

Hello,

this bug appeared in my game, too. I set a war flag, but I did the mistake to set it with the right-click. So the game crashed, gave the same message and the mouse was not longer working.

I use Debian Etch 4.0
Game Version: Globulation 2 - 0.8.23
Compiled with SDL version 1.2.8
Linked with SDL version 1.2.11

Using Vista on a Centrino Duo Toshiba Notepad (Portege R400) the game will sometimes fail with the message assertation failed. The first time it happened I jotted down the message it claimed the failure was in game.cpp line 1539 for Expression: maxLength<65536

This was the same the second time arround when it accoured as I was placing a war flag.

Both times were single player mode although the first was custom game and the second was campaigns.

The modified dates on the log files are not current and there were too many to guess if VISTA was just being crappy about dates.
