Just finished this feature implementation. There are probably at least a few bugs, but it works at least in all cases I tested. Will be in next release.

I'd like too, but it is not so simple with current implementation, so that this will not be done in an immediate future, unless a couple or new programmers join the project.

I would love to be able to use GChemPaint on a regualar basis, but I frequently need to draw reaction mechanisms using curved-arrow notation to illustrate movement of electrons. Since there is no way to do this in GChemPaint, I use ChemTool instead (http://ruby.chemie.uni-freiburg.de/~martin/chemtool/chemtool.html).

If you are not familiar with curved-arrow notation, you can find examples on Wikipedia, such as http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SN1_reaction and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Radical_addition.
