Being that the package was developed for the Ubuntu platform and submitted to the Ubuntu repository, I think that the opus is on the package developer to use the correct Ubuntu command "thunderbird." That's just my opinion though. Either way, it seems like it'd be pretty easy to update the .deb that's in the Ubuntu repository to use the right command, and I'm sure I'm not the only one who would greatly appreciate it.

In the meantime, couldn't I make some kind of link so that the command "mozilla-thunderbird" just goes to "thunderbird?"

Hi,
that's not a bug in mail-notification, Ubuntu causes that mail-notification cannot start thunderbird.

MN wants to start the command "mozilla-thunderbird" but under Ubuntu its only "thunderbird". I don't know what do you have to edit, sorry, but I had the same problem as you.

Mabye you could edit your Standart-Email-Application to the manual command "thunderbird".

I have it set so that when I click the icon in the taskbar it's supposed to open my mail reader application, Thunderbird. It doesn't do anything.

I use Kubuntu 7.10 (Gutsy).
