It is not exactly a problem with BKChem itself, but rather with missing its (optional) dependency. Had no activity for more than two years. Closing.

Hi,
for the Cairo related exports to work, you need to have cairo and pycairo installed. Unfortunately, I don't have a Mac computer available, so I cannot give you any hints.
I have found this (http://kenkeiter.com/2007/11/21/compiling-cairo-and-pycairo-on-os-x/) on the net. You can try to install pycairo using this description and see if it gets you somewhere.
I hope this helps.

Hello

I try to use bkchem which is a very good molecule designer.
I use it on a core 2 duo mac running 10.5 or a core duo running 10.4.
In both computer I get
could not load module pdf_cairo
could not load module png_cairo
could not load module svg_cairo
when I run python on bkchem. py (I didn't succeed to compile).
In fact the export menu provide only export pdf(Piddle) but the doc says thet pdf(Cairo) could be better.

Any help ?
