Evidently, a sync between the laptop and server was aborted on 7-May-2008
The log has the following:

The latter log entries indicate a program error occurred because of the prior abort. The server stored part of the error as the laptop's PCID because it continued on (and reached an error condition).
The program has been changed to not continue after it receives this type of error, and so will not store an invalid PCID in the sync.mk4 table.
This change will be in the next release.
