You don't have to do anything. Data from the laptops is being sync'ed afterall.

If you discover that data is missing, please let me know. (There are some pathologic circumstances which will prevent changes from ever being sync'ed, but if the clocks are always sync'ed within 60 seconds, these circumstances shouldn't occur). In a word: Best Practice is to ensure the clocks are within 60 seconds of each other before sync-ing.

Revision 147 doesn't address this issue - that prevents the PCID mismatch from happening after a sync has been aborted.

Bruce....I am not clear what I need to do about this.....is the data from the laptops being sync'd?
Should I be doing something else?...
AND
we are now on release number 147....so did you fix this when I installed the new one?

Evidently, as one of the last things I did for the USVI project, I made it a warning if the times don't match. I clearly forgot that I did this.

So, SVORI will continue to sync even if the times don't match. There are consequences of doing this though; if the times are off by the amount of time between updates, then some data will not get sync'ed in subsequent syncs, giving the appearance of sync not transferring certain records.

The only way to recover from this situation is to manually merge the missing data into the server's database and then make all the client clocks match the servers. Then wipe and initialize all the clients, remove the server's sync.mk4 file, and then sync all the clients with the server.

I do not believe this change represents sound logic even though the clients feel keeping the clocks synchronized is a pain. (I say fix MS-Windows so it keeps an accurate clock.) But "The customer is always right, even when they're wrong."

The message that comes up on a sync somtimes implies that records are transfered even though the times are not within tolerance. It indicates that records are transfered.
