This is a complicated issue that could only be an issue for me: 5272 tx cleanup function frees pbufs from an ISR. This works fine for PBUF_POOL buffers, but for PBUF_FREE buffers, this calls mem_free() which in my implementation calls free(). Again in my implementation free() uses a semaphore and an ISR cannot wait on a semaphore.

I will solve this by doing the buffer cleanup in a task. This could slow down the buffer cleanup in a busy system, but this should not be a problem for me.

An alternative solution would be to get rid of PBUF_RAM. I actually think this would be a good idea, since PBUF_RAM is very inefficient and I don't think it saves any memory. But as this would affect many more people, I won't go there.
