Can you please try reproducing your bugs with the latest version in svn?

Your reports of so many crashes simply amazes me, because I don't experience them.

When you experience a crash, find the autosave.sav file and post it back to this bug tracker.

make succesfull, so I started playing.
Very soon the good old segmentation fault reappeared.
But now I have the save file!!!! :-P

I also added the random map (i think it's that one, it was in the same folder as the saved game)

It crashed two times when I attacked the hero who is standing close to mine

Also:
I believe there is something wrong when loading a saved file. When I load a saved file I have a feeling the enemy is always one step ahead then when I saved the file. For example: In this save file when I saved it I believe the enemy was on the left of me. When I loaded it it seemed to have moved more to the right to where he was heading ... I'm not 100 procent sure though, i'll look into it and i'll tell you more when i'm sure

making the 0.1.1 version gives me errors.
I can start the game afterwards but when I press end turn it freezes.

Sorry for confusing u.. I did mean 0.1.0. and 0.8.0
I will try compiling version 0.1.1. I was actually playing the windows version on dosbox now, but because u ask i'll try it. However I don't know when, should be somewhere this week.

Second bug:
Yes I was playing with a random map and indeed I wasn't playing version 0.1.1

Sorry for late response, I was stupid enough to mail to reply in my mailbox.

Ah, the bug about moving onto a sage/ruin was fixed in 0.1.1.

Brecht,

Your bug report confuses me because lordsawar doesn't have a version 1.0. The makefile that you attached is for lordsawar version 0.1.0.

The first bug you report isn't one I've encountered before. Can you try compiling version 0.1.1, and running it within "gdb" like so:
$ gdb ./src/lordsawar
gdb> run
and after it crashes type:
gdb> bt
and post the result here.
Were you playing with a random map? Were you playing one of the scenarios?

The second bug is one that I've already addressed in version 0.1.1... it could be that it's not really fixed, or it could be that you weren't using version 0.1.1. My advice is to try the version 0.1.1 tarball and check if the problem persists.

The third bug you report is one bug that needs more explanation. If you could describe a set of steps to reproduce the problem it would be greatly appreciated. If you could supply a saved-game file, it would make it even easier for me to track it down.

cheers,

Ben

First:
When I play the game for like 15 minutes, it always end up on a segfault. Saving the game and restoring when a segfault occures doesn't help. A game that has crashes before will crash again, not exactly on the same point, but very close to that point at least.

This happens in version 1.0 (compiles myself) and version 0.8 (ubuntu packet manager)
I added the MakeFile from version 1.0

Second:
Also I once saw a hero in the building list of a castle, It had 0 turns for completion, I selected it and next turn it had -1 turns for completion.
Pretty weird.

Third:
It happened once that a sage was not accessible, when I hovered my mouse over, the "move" sign changed to a hand. I couldn't move to that part of the map. (not even with the move-arrows)

Cheers mate,
itsjar
