The idea behind the "catch all" thing is to be able
to forward the exception which occured in the RTIA process
to the Federate itself so we

rep.setException(e_XXX);

this way of "forwarding" is not nice
we should find a way to generically marshall exception
in order to avoid the awkward catch list.

Concerning
the partial list of thrown exception
it looks like a bug you are right.

Go ahead.

I'm reaching next test period, so I might generate several "why is that" questions. ;-)

In RTIA_federate.cc is RTIA::processFederateRequest() that calls RTIA::chooseFederateProcessing() and catches all expections.

The RTIA::chooseFederateProcessing, however, has a limited set of allowed exceptions, so the application crashes when it throws an "unexpected" expection (NameNotFound for instance).

This makes the long list of exceptions in RTIA::processFederateRequest useless and the application more vulnerable.

Proposed solution: Remove "throw" out of the RTIA::chooseFederateProcessing prototype and allow all exceptions to be thrown and catched by RTIA::processFederateRequest.

I will do that. Please shout if the proposed solution is wrong.
