I was wrong. It works, but: Initially it was able to watch the whole root like this:
ss:~ # fileschanged -ar .
but if I say for example:
ss:~ # fileschanged -ar tmp .kde .kde4
it works.

I have SuSE 11.0 on 3 computers. On all of them famd & fileschanged initially worked well. On 2 of them - laptops - they stopped working maybe a week or two after instalation. On the 3.rd - desktop - it worked fine for several months - but has recently stopped working on it too.

Fileschanged simply produces no output. If I kill it, it brings famd down with it.

It was fileschanged version 0.6.5. I tried fileschanged 0.6.9 but the only notable difference was that I could now kill nonfunctional fileschanged also with Ctrl-C, while for 0.6.5 I had to use kill command.
