Hi Satori,

lol ;)
seriously: this is not a bug. it's a feature. it is up to the designer of a map to stop growth in certain areas what he is even given an invisible area type for (which i don't like as it is not visible to the player that it will not make sense to farm there).

there are several ways to stop growth:

  • build a wall of buildings towards resources near water (resources only grow near water)
  • set up clearing areas
  • order a wall of buildings without actually building them (this i consider cheating and hope we will disable some day)
  • clear with flags

greetings,

Giszmo

Mother Nature is certainly a giver - she says, "Receive of my bounty - and do it fast or I'll surround all of your buildings with rampant tree growth so your units can't access them!"

Yep. I've had trees crowd in buildings so tightly that not only can they not be upgraded, but my units can't even get into them anymore. I've had coastal areas of trees grow to meet each other and seal my units in tight, surrounded by so many of those "resources" that my globs can't get to the water to access the algae. Killed with kindness. What fun.
