Hi Eric,
I believe I know now the reason: It's on Linux. The message is "UN Socket(Emettre UN) : : Broken pipe" and it appears when a federate (from different reasons) catches all exceptions within the main loop. The tick() fails, prints that error, but federate catches the exception and calls tick() again, which again fails.

I think this is entirely a federate bug. The RTI cannot help by distinguishing "definitive" and "temporary" errors.

Hi Petr,

I'm not able to reproduce this one.
Moreover there is no "socket error" message
in the CERTI source code (case insensitive search).

May be some perror output?

On which platform does this occur?
Windows, Linux ?

I saw this already several times: When the RTIG is killed by the user while some federate/RTIA is still active, the federate/RTIA floods screen with "socket error" reports, cycling forever.
