Hello,

Multi-session DVD are automaticaly created when you do not use the "-dvd-compat" option. After that, when you want to add data on the DVD, you choose the "add session to disc (-M)" option.

If you have a previously written DVD and want to overwrite old files when burning, you need to format it (using "DVD/Erase DVD RW" menu).

I've never tested appending data to a DVD burned by nero or k3b, but they should use the same structure as tkdvd (at least k3b which is using the same tool) so it should work.

There's no basic guide, some questions are answered in the FAQ file (I'm adding yours to it).

Best regards

Hi,

I have tried to use tkdvd and it just turned my dvd +rw into a coaster.

How do you start a multi-session and then continue a multisession?

If I have a dvd only half full, how do I start a new multi-session so that the old files are written over?

If the disk was used for multi-session with k3b or nero, is it ok to use tkdvd?

How do I do the above without destroying the disk?

Is there a basic user guide for tkdvd?

Thanks,

David Murphy
