Fixed in version 0.2.0. Thanks. If you find more bugs, just open a new bug.

Yeah the panning bug was fixed.

I have reproduced the bug. It annoys me that people find these bugs after I release a version. Oh well.

I'm a "hit sapce" to group sort of person. (which works.)

Alright, here's one sure way to crash it.

1. Start a game.
2. You'll have a stack of 2 or 3 units. Split it up and move part of it away.
3. Either move the remaining stack to the stack you just moved away or move the other stack back to the starting position.
4. Combine both stacks through double clicking.

It will either freeze or cause a segmentation fault.

The panning crash was an unrelated, fixed bug wasn't it?

Will do.

I just released version 0.1.9. Can you please try to reproduce the problem with that new version?

darn. it's not crashing for me as I pan around randomly. Also, end-turn doesn't cause a crash either.

I need more info about how to reproduce your crashes.

I thought I managed to secure something completely reproduceable, but ending turn doesn't always seem to result in crashing. However, doing just about anything DOES result in a crash.

I don't know if it's related to this, but I can barely test it due to the game crashing (segmentation fault) after panning or sometimes moving. I haven't been able to figure out how to reproduce it, but as I said before, just randomly dragging the map around already seems to cause it.

An initial implementation for this has been added to svn. I'm leaving the bug open for more comments and feedback.

Alright, I'll try to explain a bit more. Every "click" means "left click."

1. Consider a group of 8 units. 5 are strength 8 and have 16 movement; 3 are strength 4 and have 22 movement.
2. Move until the 5 slower units are out of movement.
3. There's a friendly city nearby that you don't consider sufficiently defended for when your enemies' turn arrives. Your 3 units still have 6 movement left - just enough to make it to the city.

Now, the most efficient way to continue has been implemented in Warlords 2.

4. You remove 1 of the faster units from the large group.
5. You click the check mark underneath the singled out unit, that will now be at the very right of the stack, to switch to its group.
7. Click on the other two faster units to add them to this group.
8. Move this group into the city.

There are plenty of other usage scenarios, but they're basically all about splitting up a larger group into a few smaller ones that either go in different directions or move ahead a bit already. Keep in mind that when I say group I may also simply be referring to 1 unit, which is especially relevant when you just want to move 1 unit away from a larger group.

I've also used groups to organize defense. Say 3 units in a group to keep at home and anything else is free to go. In lordsawar I haven't really run into trouble with this because I tend to put defensive units in the bottom left of my cities, but you'd have to run through some hoops to select the units that you want to move away from the city.

I'm not sure how good this explanation is. If it's not good enough then I'll narrate a video, although I'm not sure if I could say anything I haven't already said here.

I think that this video should sufficiently explain.

This is a workflow that I have trouble understanding.

I have to admit I never understood all of the checkboxes in the original interface!

Can you describe it in greater detail, or possibly take a video of what you're talking about in the original game?

As far as I can tell there's no way to do this. Consider the following usage scenario:

1. A stack of 8 just attacked an enemy stack and lost 2 units. You wish to replenish it to full strength from a more defensive/less essential stack nearby.
2. You deselect two units from the stack.
3. Now you want to switch to one of said two units, group them and send them on their merry way. However, it seems like this is only possible if you deselect all of the others and leave the two as a group.
