Rewards can be items, or gold, or hidden ruins, or maps. :-)

The user's manual for the editor is a big job! I write the user's manual by hand in a text editor. I am not aware of a good docbook editor.

I see. So there is a bunch of pre-existing items, but they're only available if you put them in the list for the scenario.

I suppose I could take a look at doing such a thing, but I wouldn't know how to use Docbook. Are there editors out there?

To make it work, you have to populate the reward list yourself. That's what Edit->Rewards is all about.

How would you like to write a manual for the editor? :-)

Oops, yes, I mean ruin of course.

I suppose you're right about that they could drown due to a misclick. Perhaps they should automatically become navies?

Also reading over those heeter.net pages made me realize how much I've forgotten about playing W2. I haven't played versus any humans in forever, after all, and some of the things on there I didn't even know to begin with. I bet my friends and I would've been dealt with quite quickly. :P

I think you mean ruin instead of temple.

heeter.net has already been a great help in making lordsawar.

It seems unfair to let them drown beacuse of a misclick.

Anyway, I wonder why the rewardlist stuff stopped working in the editor!

To replicate:

1. Place a temple on a map.
2. Edit temple properties.
3. Click choose item.

I wanted to create a map to test some stuff - particularly what would happen if my hero got something like Wings of Flying and if I then dropped a non-flight unit off over water. Apparently, the original game doesn't always behave the same way[1], but I imagine that they should drown. I'm quite sure that they drown in my version of W2DELUXE, anyway.
