Yeah, they seem to be doing something bad to the DNS. Now Straw tries to deal with it: if we get an alias instead of the IP we asked for, we try again. Seems to work ok now.

Here is what I got:

% adnshost http://www.morestuff4less.com
http://www.morestuff4less.com CNAME geo.premiumservices.yahoo.com
Error during DNS A lookup for http://www.morestuff4less.com: DNS alias found where canonical name wanted

Nope, cleared all my cache, hell, I erased my whole straw dir and imported my feeds from an OPML file, still goes to Host Name Lookup IMMEDIATELY. I get this feeling it is one of 3 things:

a) adns doesn't like the 4 in the hostname
b) The python implementation doesn't like the 4 in the hostname
c) what you are passing to adns is getting mucked up.

see bug #2799 , exceptionView won't update unless
a change in the feed happened. As I said in the bug report,
this behavior could be confusing.

You can remove the cache in ~/.straw and poll again.
Cannot remove feed cache individually is also frustrating.

This feed:

http://www.morestuff4less.com/rss.xml

is giving me fits. It keeps telling me Host Name Lookup Failed. I tried removing and re-adding to no avail. If I re-add, it loads the 25 posts, then if I poll it, it goes back to lookup failure. I think it was down for a while, but seems just fine now. Is something getting cached that is causing this?
