The pop-up window doesn't happen in Parkes, no patches needed.

"Unsupported platform" window no longer shows up in metad.
We don't seem to have an entry for parkes yet, so not closing.
The entry for metad does look a bit unconventional. I don't know what impact that has. It would be nice if upstream would put in a descriptive comment for the format.

Sam, Karl,
Do we know whether the patch fixed the issue? Can we close this bug?

Hi, sorry about the delay.
the gNS lines look wrong. other distros have
distroname version codename.
gnewsense has
distroname codename blank.
is this something that can be fixed? should be fixed?
also, could you put in an entry for parkes?
metad -> 2.99
parkes -> 3.0
I dont know if its worth adding the older gNS releases for historical purposes or not. I'll leave that up to you.

I've updated and committed the debian/changelog file.
Pardon the delay.

thanks for the commit. would you like to add a debian/changelog entry too, or shall i do that?
wonder how we'll handle the rename of gns3 when the rebase happens- a problem for later though.

I have a patch for this and will apply it as soon as I figure out where the "system-tools-backends" code repositories are...

I found the platform definitions in system-tools-backends, Utils/Platform.pm. Haven't looked deeply enough to see what we need to add.

I can't see what causes this - the relevant file is src/common/gst-platform-dialog.c , and I can't understand the C (I'm not a C coder).

I get the same "Unsupported platform" window in the following:
System -> Admin -> Shared Folders
System -> Admin -> Date and Time
System -> Admin -> Network
System -> Admin -> Services
System -> Admin -> Users and Groups

System -> Admin -> Network pops up a window "Unsupported platform" in which you can choose a platform. I chose Debian Lenny and all seemed fine.
System -> Admin -> Users and Groups: same thing
