This feature is being redesigned to avoid the creation of the out file in the Task object constructor.

Your counlis will be considered in the solution.

Thank you very much.

When defining a task, one can define a destination file for the output of the command to be executed, using argument "stdout="FILENAME"". This file cannot be deleted using "t.gen += "FILENAME"", for the following reason:
when creating the task, the destination file is created (line 1066), to be ready to receive data printed by the command. Adding "FILENAME" to the list of generated files automatically adds precondition NOT(EXISTS(FILENAME)), and postcondition EXISTS(FILENAME) (lines 1537 and 1538). But the output file is already created when precondition is checked, so it fails.

Solutions can be:
1) Create output file after having checked pre-conditions. User adds output file to "t.gen" if (s)he wants to delete it.
2) Do not check that output file does not exist before the test. User also use "t.gen" to delete file.
3) Add an option to remove output file at the end of execution (or remove it by default, and (maybe) add an option to keep it). Removing is done independantly from "t.gen".

Version I use is 0.20091130
