This is unlikely to happen since, at least to let castget chown anything, it must run as root, which would be a bad idea. One way of accomplishing what you ask for would be for castget to be able to run a script when an enclosure has been downloaded (see https://savannah.nongnu.org/bugs/?17859 for an earlier request of this feature).

I think it would be a useful feature for Castget to be able to change the owner and/or permissions of the files it downloads.

I see this would work as two further options in the configuration:

chown=media_server_username
chmod=666 (or u=rw,g=rw,o=rw notation)

The "chmod" option could be "umask" option, instead, if that makes more sense -- I believe some FTP daemon configs have something similar for the default permissions on uploaded files.

Is this feasible?
