I need IGMPv2 because it more tested and has been more good realized by hardware vendors. For example cisco 2950 has some restrictions for igmpv3 (described in its manual if I'm not mistaken)

So recomenations was to use igmpv2 on the network infrastructure at this time.

May you comment on why you do need IGMPv2?

Can't you tell your app to issue a source-specific join instead?

I have this personal misson of promoting the replacement of v2 by v3. :-)

Cheers,
Everton

Yes, it builds. Now it builds with qpimd patch. Today I tried to build it again from scratch using all arch-included patches and it builds now. Firstly I commented out all this patches and it was the mistake.

It builds now with "autoreconf -i --force" and with patches from http://aur.archlinux.org/packages/quagga/quagga/PKGBUILD

Sorry for annoying. All it was to no purpose for me -- I need igmpv2 :-).

This bug may be removed.

Does quagga build without qpimd patch?

qpimd supports only IGMPv3.

Everton

Oops ...

./bootstrap.sh: No such file or directory

Yes, quagga sources do not contain this file :-).

I did "autoreconf -i --force" and it did some progress

./configure --prefix=/usr/local/quagga --enable-pimd && make && make install

compiles and installs ok

but there is some problems with arch ABS. I do the same things with PKGBUILD and it does not compile:

mv -f .deps/ioctl_null.Tpo .deps/ioctl_null.Po
gcc -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -DSYSCONFDIR=\"/etc/quagga.d/\" -DMULTIPATH_NUM=1 -I. -I.. -I.. -I.. -I../lib -fPIE -march=x86-64 -mtune=generic -O2 -pipe -MT misc_null.o -MD -MP -MF .deps/misc_null.Tpo -c -o misc_null.o misc_null.c
mv -f .deps/misc_null.Tpo .deps/misc_null.Po
/bin/sh ../libtool --tag=CC --mode=link gcc -fPIE -march=x86-64 -mtune=generic -O2 -pipe -pie -Wl,--hash-style=gnu -Wl,--as-needed -o testzebra test_main.o zebra_rib.o interface.o connected.o debug.o zebra_vty.o kernel_null.o redistribute_null.o ioctl_null.o misc_null.o -lcap ../lib/libzebra.la -lcrypt -lrt
libtool: link: gcc -fPIE -march=x86-64 -mtune=generic -O2 -pipe -pie -Wl,--hash-style=gnu -Wl,--as-needed -o .libs/testzebra test_main.o zebra_rib.o interface.o connected.o debug.o zebra_vty.o kernel_null.o redistribute_null.o ioctl_null.o misc_null.o -lcap ../lib/.libs/libzebra.so -lcrypt -lrt

../lib/.libs/libzebra.so: undefined reference to `cap_init'
../lib/.libs/libzebra.so: undefined reference to `cap_set_flag'

B.t.w. does qpimd work with igmpv2 or only with igmpv3 ?

I think quagga's bootstrap.sh does "autoreconf -i".

Can you try to "autoreconf -i --force" ?

Thanks,
Everton
