Found the problem: if there is a line feed (0x0a) character in the buffer already it takes it and runs with it.

I have discovered that there is a difference in between typing the characters in one at a time and pasting them in. When typing the program gets one character for each read. When it is pasted in the program gets all of the characters in one read.

One of the reasons that I think this problem might not be in Objectify if I:

1) Type the pass phrase at a prompt and then use the left mouse button to copy it.

2) When Objectify prompts for the pass phrase use the middle button to paste it in.

It does not exhibit this problem. I can't see how Objectify could tell the difference between the pass phrase being typed and it being pasted in with the middle mouse button.

This problem just showed up in the last month or so. I am not sure if the problem is in Objectify, Konsole, bash, or somewhere else. I.E. it may have started when I switched from Gnome back to KDE.

The problem is the first time you try to enter a long pass phrase when you type the 37th character it behaves as if you hit the enter key.
