Dependency for openoffice.org-fix has been added to gnewsense-desktop (bzr rev. 418). Should show up in the repo in a few hours.

Build went fine in a minimal environment, and also in the schroot that Karl set up on sandbox.
At the suggestion of Ruben Rodriguez I made a package (openoffice.org-fix) with an alternate ExtensionManager.xcu file, using dpkg-divert to replace the original. The package works and has been added to the repo (bzr rev. 417). I'll add the dependencies to the gnewsense packages later today.

Build went fine on a freshly installed Hardy on my laptop. I ran it in a console with X turned off. My attempts on deltah where in gnome-terminal and I noticed that both those attempts failed at a different unoil.jar. I suspect lack of memory could be the problem (laptop has 512 MiB). I'm trying again on deltah in a more minimal environment.

Two dpkg-buildpackage attempts on my laptop ended with the same error:
gcj-4.2: Internal error: Killed (program jc1)
See attachment ooo-laptop.log for more of the context (full log available on request). The error is rather similar to Debian bug report #461024 [1].

Fails to build for i386. According to [1] it should be built for i686. When I put "-ai686" in DPKGOPTS it fails with
checking whether db is at least 4.1... configure: error: cannot run test program while cross compiling
Setting GNS_HOST_ARCH="i686" makes it fail with
E: Invalid Release file, no entry for main/binary-i686/Packages

The "Get more extensions here..." link in Tools -> Extension Manager points to extensions.services.openoffice.org. The list of extensions there contains non-free ones.
