I added a --ignore-vfat-inaccuracy option to file-verify (ofv) so that it will match the time stamps on a file even if it is stored on a VFAT volume and the accuracy is only two seconds.

Fixed in the Alpha_30.9 release.

I believe I have found the problem and it isn't a bug per se. The problem is that the files were copied to a USB stick that has a VFAT file system on it. Apparently the VFAT file system only has 2 seconds of resolution (http://www.jpsoft.com/help/index.htm?timestamps.htm) on the time stamp and all the files with an odd time were changed to an even time.

I first noticed this problem when verifying files on a USB stick: sometimes the time stamps mismatch by an hour. I assume this has something to do with daylight savings time. At the time I noticed it on the USB stick, I thought perhaps it was because the USB stick had a FAT file system, but now I'm not sure because I usually reformat my USB sticks with ext2 immediately. And now that I think about it I am sure I've seen the problem with files on ext3.
