Sorry for the long turn-around, but I have committed changes that address your concern.

The game now displays this when it can't find something it's looking for:

Couldn't find any armysets (*.lwa) in : /usr/local/share/lordsawar/army/
Please check the path settings in ~/.lordsawarrc

Thanks for taking the time to engage in this project.  Your contribution has improved it and I appreciate it.

:)
I figured it out after some struggle. To cut the long story short, Fedora package being installed and being uninstalled and .lordsawarrc file present were involved. So sorry for false alert.

But maybe if it crashes because it can't find the data files, is it possible to change the error to something that clearly states that? It could possibly eliminate similarly silly bug reports like mine. :)

But while I'm here, thx for the game, it's really lovely. It feels like old Warlords II, but just looks way better, what else one can wish. ;)

Please make sure you do a ./configure --prefix=~/lordsawar
and then make install into that.

I'm on F13 x86_64 too, fully updated.
While the Fedora package seems to work just fine and doesn't crash in my case, when building from source it crashes complaining about Glib. I tried the 0.2.0-pre1 as well, same result. I will post the exact error message when I get to the machine later today.

Thanks!  If you can get any other information about what was going on when this crash happened it would be very helpful.
