The pluginspage issue in 1.x was already fixed in rev. 456.
One problem still remaining (which I had overlooked in the last listing): startup page in 2.x.

Leo found another problem with Mozilla browsers [1]:
0) Visit http://www.snapkeys.com/en/imaginaryinterface/letters
1) Click on the "Click here to download plugin." gray box.
2) GNU IceCat's plugin finder service will pop up and it won't find a suitable
plugin.
3) Click on "Manual Install"
What happens: I got redirected to
https://www.microsoft.com/Windows/Downloads/Contents/MediaPlayer/
What was expected: probably not getting redirected to microsoft.com

Giuseppe already committed a patch for Icecat (4).

I pushed a patch (rev. 453) to replace all URLs (except plug-ins) in the Add-on manager with GNUzilla's.
Remaining issues:
- "Get more" URL for plug-ins in Add-on manager (2.x).
- Startup page is Seamonkey Web page, with links to non-free add-ons (1.x, 2.x).
- Throbber URL is Seamonkey Web page (1.x, 2.x).

about:plugins is OK now. I have just pushed a patch (rev. 452) to disable the "Get Addons" tab by default.

The links in about:plugins will be removed for both versions in the next Builder run (rev. 451).
The default homepage in Seamonkey is the Seamonkey website. I'll see if I can change that to http://www.gnewsense.org.

Seamonkey in main (1.1.9+nobinonly-0ubuntu1) doesn't have an add-ons manager and I can't find a direct link to AMO anywhere else. It does have a link to a list including non-free plugins (https://pfs.mozilla.org/plugins) in about:plugins.
The 2.0.x version has both the add-ons manager and the link in about:plugins.

The "Browse All Add-ons" link in the Add-ons manager indeed points to addons.mozilla.org.
When I click on what should be a Flash widget it opens the Plugin Finder Service. It says "No suitable plugins were found.", but has a link to the plugin section at AMO.

I can't seem to find Seamonkey in any of the repositories in Synaptic Package Manager. Has it been removed?
|
Sat 11 Sep 2010 07:29:54 PM UTC, original submission:
Seamonkey has the same problems as Firefox:
1) it points to a list of non-free extensions,
2) it recommends installing non-free plugins.
I'm going by a report on IRC, haven't checked it out myself (yet).
