Hi,

could you be a little more specific about what you mean with "library path for techne" and how you fixed that? This is a problem with the packaging for SuSE so I'll try to contact the packager about it, unless you want to do it.

In the meantime and until the package is fixed, let me know if you want instructions on how to fix the install manually. I hope your GPU drivers won't give you trouble in the end though. I haven't had the chance to test it on intel hardware yet.

PS: Billiards 0.4 and Techne 0.2 are due for release in a couple of days. You can try these instead (and test them for me as well) if you don't mind some manual compiling...

opensuse 11.3, billard v0.3

first, after install the library path for techne is set to /usr/lib6464 ...

after fixing that :
Greetings fellow user, this is Techne 0.1.
I could not open the audio device.
I could not create the audio context.

Let's see what kind of junk we're dealing with here.
The graphics renderer is a 'Mesa DRI Mobile IntelĀ® GM45 Express Chipset GEM 20100328 2010Q1 2.1 Mesa 7.8.2'.
The framebuffer configuration is [8, 8, 8, 8, 24, 8].
The rendering context is direct.
The audio renderer is 'OpenAL Soft 1.1 ALSOFT 1.12.854'.

We're up and running!
Reading the configuration script.
I'm going to take a wild guess that your card doesn't support full
shading so I'm falling back to toon mode. Override with -Onotoon.

Hmmm, I just got this unprotected error from the Lua interpreter:
"/usr/share/techne/common/resources.lua:34: billiards/polyhedra/pockets.lc: bad header in precompiled chunk"
No point in prolonging this dreary existence I suppose...
