When pointed at GMail's IMAP service, Alpine can delete messages but not unmark them for deletion.

Steps:
Connect to GMail
'd' to delete
'u' to undelete

What happens is that the message stays deleted and is eventually purged.

What should happen is that pressing U should revert to undeleted status.

This problem does not occur with other IMAP services so it may be related to GMail. This problem also occurs in alpine on OpenBSD, so it may be an upstream problem.
