Thanks for reporting this issue.

Bugs were found in the audio processing pipeline in Traverso and have been fixed in the development version and will be available in the next release.

If the problem remains in the next release (hopefully out this year) please re-open this bug report.

traverso crashes on startup with opensuse 11.4 RC 1: cannot set realtime priority for audio device

(that's what it says in the bottom-status bar of traverso.)

after that, it crashes and even crashes kwin ( kde window manager )
which recovers graciously.
