Changed in devel version (for future 0.3.9): names beginning with "#" are reallowed for bars, proxies, filters and IRC servers, see bug #36584

The /filter command permits the use of filter names such as #foobar. When written to the configuration file, the line will begin with #foobar and is discarded as a comment and erased from the file.

I have not checked, but I suspect including a # in the middle of a filter name may cause similar problems.

Was able to readily reproduce in 0.3.4.
