I realized I could get the glibc error by running it from a terminal.  It's not a double-free, it's memory corruption:
* glibc detected * glob2: corrupted double-linked list: 0x08f27248 *

I just need to load it to the initial menu and then quit to get it to happen.

I received a bug report for this issue on Fedora which has traceback information.

I was able to reproduce the crash by starting glob2, selecting LAN game, selecting Go back to main menu and then selecting Quit.
