Fixed in trunk r10106. Thanks for reporting.

I think you can also work around the bug by starting a game, returning to the menu, and using the editor then.

Start Boswars, Start Editor, Load Map, Start Editor.
Everything is fine, until I move the mouse: Boswars exits with the message:

attempt to index a nil value
