Done. Upgrade and put this in your .bashrc:

I often switch to the terminal (S) in ranger and forget about it, or think I am in ranger when I am not.
If ranger would set a nice environment variable (like IN_RANGER) or whatever I would be able to display this in my PS1 (bash prompt)
