I suggest to avoid unchecked function calls.
Would you like to detect every error situation as early as possible?

Both of the calls referred to are trivial. If there was an output problem in the "jdisplay" case it would appear elsewhere where it is detected.

In the "spwrite" case all that would happen is someone wouldn't get a popup message.

I believe this is of no consequence.

I'll make it just ignore the error response.

I have looked at a few source files for your software. I have noticed that some checks for return codes are missing.

Would you like to add more error handling for return values from functions like the following?
