I just tested the latest git checkout and it works a charm.

Wow, that was fast! I look forward to trying the next development version :)

Thanks for reporting this!

It should now be fixed: a switch to the next video frame can now only happen every other video frame, so that it always happens on the same eye.

I just tried Bino's new alternating view. It works great with my shutter glasses, and unlike sView, doesn't lose sync every minute-or-so. However, there is one problem I have observed: the left and right eyes are not always on the same movie frame. This is not noticeable when there isn't a lot of movement, but in sections of fast motion or panning, one's eyes have a hard time focusing because of this. sView doesn't have this problem, so one's eyes have a much easier time tracking motion in that player.

This observation was made completely by eye, so please forgive me if I am wrong about the cause of this issue. It appears that Bino advances frames occasionally between the L->R page flip and occasionally between the R->L page flip. Bino instead needs to pick one (L->R or R->L) and only advance frames during that particular page flip. Perhaps an easy way of doing this would be to treat the monitor as only having half its refresh rate (i.e., if the monitor is at 100 Hz, advance the frames as though it was on a 50 Hz display).
