Dimitris,

yes, that works great. My fault, didn't notice the slipstream-browser. The sim is pretty awesome. I don't have any experience with motorcycles, but the handling feels realistic and, though it takes some practice, quite rewarding once you get the hang of it.

Good luck,
Marko

Hello Marko,

that message about inconsistencies detected by ld.so is harmless. Annoying, as I can't figure out what's causing it, but nevertheless harmless. The actual problem is a couple of lines above that in the output where Slipstream reports that it has nothing to do.

If you want to start Slipstream's GUI then you should either use Ubuntu's applications menu or run slipstream-browser on the command line.

If you'd like to bypass all the pointing and clicking in the GUI and start a race straight from the command line then you can consult the manpage and run something like:

slipstream -Omodel=slipstream/motorcycle/motorcycle-largesports.lua -Otrack=slipstream/tracks/laguna-default.lua

You can do a couple of other things like specify a file to save your session to, to replay later but be careful as the manpage is a little outdated and mentions tracks/laguna.lua instead of the correct laguna-default.lua.

Let me know if this works for you so that I can close the issue.

Dimitris
