Thanks again for testing! Since the original problem seems to be solved, I close this bug report as 'fixed'. The bug fixes will go into 1.4.0, which should be released very soon.
Feel free to open new bugs for other problem reports or suggestions, e.g. regarding your 1x/2x idea. Ideally each report is only about a single problem - that makes it much easier for everyone to keep track of things.

This looks like a winner! YEAH It does have some flickering while moving the window, but that is unavoidable as you switch R-L to various lines. It then is OK after the move. I will keep you posted if there are any other problems.
A simple enhancement that would improve quality of display would be to have the ability to display 1X or 2X. With the display and the video aligned some blurriness would be avoided. 720P videos would look best at 1X and older 480i videos would look the best at 1 or 2X.

I believe I have fixed the remaining issue; please test again.
I have also adapted the installer so that it does not create version-specific installations anymore, but simply replaces an older version.

OK, I think I bagged it this time. It is not when going from expand to contract. When the image is enlarged by expading the window up or down, it reverses when the image is limited by the width of the window. It is really strange becaus when the window is essentially almost the same as the aspect ratio of the movie, it switches several times when expanding or contracting the image. Hmmm

Now that I look at it again it looks like the reversal happens when the picture size matches the screen resolution exactly. In other words when the player switches from compressing the picture to expanding it.
If there were a control to set the picture exactly to the screen resolution I could be sure of this.
The video is 720x1080 and my screen is full HD.
Oops, I found the volume control! Maybe I need new bifoculs.

Almost fixed. When the window is small, expanding it slightly maintains the correct R-L relationship. But if expanded a lot the R-L reverse and can only be fixed by going back to a smaller window.
Full screen works the same as a small window.
So it is improved, but not quite fixed.

While we are at it; Is there a volume control on Bino?
The installation the installation has one inconvenience. It creates a new version, but if you have setup specific files to play using Bino, or have it on the "play with" menu, it no longer is available and has to be setup again. An install over the old version would be really handy.
Actually you can test it on a non FPR monitor by having a 3D image of a square with different colors in each image. Then use 2 copies of Bino and look to see how they intermesh compared to each other. But I am more than willing to test it as needed.

It seems there was a bug that affected all the masking output modes (even/odd columns/rows and checkerboard).
It should be fixed now; can you please test it? (I don't have such a monitor myself.)

An FPR (Film pattern retarder) monitor generally uses alternate horizontal lines for display of R-L frames. This seems to be gaining momentum because passive displays have been reviewed as looking better. So the mode used is even/odd rows.
It seems that the problem is that it doesn't reliably keep track of whether even or odd is on top so that the correct frame is put on the correct lines. I can switch the R/L frame output by just expanding/contracting the window on the bottom or top slightly. It alternates between correct and incorrect. It usually starts up with correct alignment, but occasionally not. I can not produce correct alignment by moving the window up or down. I have Windows 7 pro.
The input is a Fuji AVI which has 720x1080 24fps resolution with the two sides stored sequentially.
Thank you for your attention. As I said, other 3D programs do not have this difficulty, but they do not play the Fuji AVI format as reliably.

I view the 3D on an FPR monitor. Sometimes the videos come up with the L-R reversed, and if I resize a video sometimes it will end up with the frames reversed. By slowly resizing, I can often get the L-R frames back into the correct positions.
The Stereo Photo Maker never has this problem, so perhaps you could ask to see their code.
