Hi, I finally had some time to investigate this. Unfortunately it is too complicated, if at all possible to support the website in Linterna Mágica. The IPhone stream is probably the easiest to access, but it uses HTTP Live Streaming (HLS), which is not working well enough with most players. Totem can't play the initialisation URL, but plays well (and smooth) the second stream returned as a response to the initialisation request. Unfortunately the domain for the HLS URL is not the same as the website, so I'm unable to work-around this by fetching the initialisation URL and extract the second URL which can be fed to Totem. MPlayer, plays the second stream but pauses between segments. VLC and Xine do not start at all. In its current state, Linterna Mágica cannot handle this website. If there was support for HTML5 playback in Linterna Mágica the IPhone URL might work, because the browser will handle the HLS. This might happen in the near future. The alternative of the IPhone URL uses flash for playback, but is even more complicated and unclear. There are few arguments needed that are passed to the URLs, which are with unclear origin and place for extraction. For now the only option to watc/listen clips on this website is to pretend that your browser is an IPhone/Ipad. I'll leave this bug report open and test it again if/when Linterna Mágica supports HTML5 playback.
I always forget about that cool feature Midori has. Thanks a lot!!!
I'm still investigating the website, and can't tell yet if it will be supported in Linterna Mágica (for various technical reasons), but there is a way to watch it right away with free software. Based on another report you've submitted, you already use Midori. If you configure Midori to identify as iPhone under Preferences in the Network tab, the site will render a HTML5 version. Setting a custom string to "ipad" will also work. Have in mind that this will affect the way all websites see Midori and you might notice difference in the way pages look. Still digging...
I'd like to have support for the public television channel of the basque country: www.eitb.com/eu/bideoak Thanks.
